Has anyone deployed Avaya IP Office Server Edition in Azure?
I know the standard distribution provided by Avaya is an OVA file which is VMDK, but there are tools to convert VMDK to VHD?

It is definitely not supported even if it could work. No one knows how the system ID is affected by an installation on hyper-V, so I would not recommend that.

I am not sure why it would make much of a difference as a virtual machine within a hypervisor general wont know the difference.
And for instance in the hosted version of ip office avaya runs it on google, and that not vm-ware.

You can try it on your own risk. But don't expect any support from Avaya if you have any issues.

IPO SE on Hyper-V is not supported for now. Even if it works, you won't be able to contact Avaya support.
