Current box version is at 2.1.54.

If I reset the box via the DTE port via the AT-X command.. what version will it leave the box in..

will I have a box set back to v 1.3 as it was shipped ? or 2. something..? Just so that I have have the correct bin files to get the sytem back to 2.1.27..

will I still have to downgrade the box?

Or am i missing something here!!

If you use the AT-X command, I do believe it erases the box, so you will have nothing on it. There is a really good FAQ about using the console ports. If you click FAQ at the top, then look at the DTE Maintenance, it breaks down some information that may be of help for you in regards to this.

Yes, I was just advised that the AT-X erases the config and gives you a clean slate. Do not need to do any of the other AT-X commands.

It will then depend upon the software version installed on your PC which software version gets re-installed when it boots up again.

So to be safe I was told get the 2.1.27'ish back on, and then go and upgrade to 3.0(999) then back down to 2.1.62.

The AT-X doen't erase the config! Only the bin-file.

If you have a 403, the way to reset it completely by DTE is:

AT-X2
AT-X3
AT-X4
AT-X

Then you have a "clean" box!

Then let it pull the 3.0(999) bin by TFTP.
Then use UpgradeWiz to load it with the desired bin.

Just to restate what NuggiFirst said, AT-X does not erase the config, only the bin file that was programeed. I just recently had to use this and the IP Office I was working on stayed at the same upgraded version, only the programming was gone.
