Now that the version is out, I have just checked the related bulletin and Avaya says:

"Note: If upgrading to Release 6.0 from a previous release an upgrade license is required. New installations using the IP500v2 platform will not require this license.
"
I have an IP406v2 (64Mb PCS 128)running Release 5 at the moment.

And I'm using Delta Server with it, which Avaya says will not be supported with this release!

Questions:

1. Is there information somewhere on how much the license will cost?
2. What is the alternative once Delta Server is out of the picture?

Thanks

Cost under a 100Us for sub 32 site and about 500ish for a lic to take you all the way to version 10.

Or $ 199 for 32+ sites for R6

Delta Server is crippled on V6. So not just no support but actually broken.

Thats a sham about Delta server I used to sell it as a simple reporter. Customers could simply capture their own CSV SMDR file and do what they liked.

Lets see a dum old NEC do something as simple as that

[cheers]

NEC has MyCalls which is FREE for the first 12 mths. its not bad, just needs a dedicated server to run on as its quite a heavy program for what it does.

In the Avaya camp we sell PABXSoft for basic call reporting. does 90% of what many customers need, and it will also connect via IP to the IPO.

PABXSoft is a bunch of crap. Or at least it used to be. Used to install it 4 years ago on IPO's and Alcatel Omni PCX. More flakey than fish food!

Its OK for the money.

its easy, customers like it and it doesnt require a special trainer to go to site and train them how to use it.

We normally offer:

PABXSoft, then Proteus, then CCC / CCR

Look at Liquid Voice. They are based in Leeds and they do Call Recording and logging. I have heard very good things from the first ones we have done. Nice guys too!

PABX Soft is cheap, but then I can't think of a customer that biught it that carried on using it. Too much data missing when it fell over. Waste of time. even a few got thier money back!!!
