Can anyone here generate License Keys for the IP Office? I have Certificates that need Encrypted Keys generated. We have a Client who is currently down! They had a BCM, so in a rush we ordered IP Office equipment from Catalyst Telecom/Scansource, along with licenses. Had the equipment shipped for Saturday delivery; Catalyst was supposed to give us access to the ADI website to generate the licenses ourselves, but seems they've only given us the ability to view & download! They are not responding to emails or voicemails. Tried contacting Avaya, and they have no control over generating the Encrypted Keys. So again, is there anyone who can do this for this lovely football Sunday?

Can you run it in basic mode for now? All keys are generated by Avaya and emailed but only through your distributor.

basic mode sucks way too bad for this type of Client. The PRI/DID's won't work the way they need them at all. Believe me, I gave it a thought...Thanks for the input though

If someone generated the keys for you, you would need to pay them. Thats not the sort of business transaction your going to sort over the weekend unfortunately. Besides which, you have already ordered them with Catalyst by the sounds of it.

Have you checked on ADI that they didn't put them on for you?? We don't order on ADI, Scansource (UK) do it and send us the keys.

Yeah I understand that we'd be expected to pay. I otherwise wouldn't be having this problem if Catalyst gave us the proper access. They normally just send us the spreadsheet with Keys already generated, but due to the nature of the situation, they said they'd give us access to be able to generate them ourselves. We used to be able to do that until they turned that off for us at some point. However, the funny thing is, they did send us the spreadsheet with the Certificates but no Encrypted Keys. Also went onto ADI to check the Serial/Dongle, but shows there's no match/info...
We're already expecting to wait for tomorrow at this point. We've shamefully given up on that hope

We just have a hard time understanding that there's no emergency hotline to call for situations just as this; it only makes everyone look bad. Not even Avaya can do anything

they can but you will not reach the people that can do it within Avaya

we keep a SD card with VM Pro and SIP trunks as well as PRI trunks in emergency stock so that we can use it in case we need to like yours in this case.

A lot of money sitting on the shelf but worth it to make a customer happy.

Using your demo kit SD card in emergency's is always a decent idea.

Ha yes mkoker, thought about that one too, but I was not quick enough to come up with it as this was a far-away Client. All is good now anyway...got up early to get the 1st person at Catalyst on the phone, received the proper License sheet, remoted into the system and imported the Licenses; everyone's happy now, but doesn't excuse the inability to contact someone for such a quick fix even on a Sunday, not to mention even if it meant paying for it

That's not Avaya though, that's your disty, we can buy licences 24/7 as can they, them not providing sales/support over the weekend/OOH is not Avaya's fault :)

Yeah well as much as we love Avaya, we come come from, and valued the Nortel-Partner point of view where you had full control to generate licenses without having to contact anyone as long as you had the Certificates equivalent as well as always had access to Nortel no matter what day or time. Not to say we couldn't get a hold of Avaya, but was a bit of a hurdle. Even with that said though, I love selling & installing the IP office product; it certainly is superior.

Just request access to the ADI site and give last weekend as example :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Oh yes, best believe we have access now. You guys are awesome on here by the way...tlpeter, amriddle, hairlessuportmonkey, westi, intrigrant...all superstars in my book. I always wonder how you guys have the time to respond to all the posts on here. Your technical prowess comes easy, or attention for stars? either way it doesn't matter, you guys are all great!

Let's call it a hobby :)

Yup! in this field, we all need one of those...just one

Insure you login to ADI at least once every couple of months or your login credentials will be voided.
