IP Office IPhone (Softphone)

Hi there,

I have a VPN site where I have an IP hardphone working perfectly but trying to implement an IP softphone, you cannot answer any calls (though the software does ring), you can be heard if you make a call but cannot hear either ringing tone or person you called. It is an old DT system so I am on the latest version that is supported. Anyone experienced this? Any tricks with codecs or pack sizes?

Does phone Manager actually show you are in softphone mode?

Has it got a VoIP user set on the switch?

Yes. It shows as softphone and is a voip user. It even got sound once but was intermittent.
 
Firstly make sure you have enabled fast start in the softphone.

Secondly make sure the pc is set to use the correct multimedia settings in the PC.

Also on the audio codec tab you have a frame per packet size, try upping that.
