Sorry everyone to be a pain, but I was wondering if anyone has used the IP office in a Hotel and if so what Hotel packages have they connected to. I know most Hotels only really require a call logger to intergrate to their package to produce the bills, But i was thinking of the system upgrading names of guests when they check in and flushing the voicemail when they leave etc.

Again any help appreciated.

Marshall

We are using it in a 169 room hotel, works great. No flushing of voicemail but with the TAPI enhancements in 4.2 we are looking at that at the moment.

We installed a duvoice system to integrate the IPO to Inn-finity (get it?) property management software.

Bottom line. It did not have the basic features the hotel required that the duvoice reps said it had so after months of pain and expense we switched it out with an NEC system. We are still waiting on avaya to send an RMA so we can return the gear a year later.

Thanks everyone,

The customer has guestline as a PMS. I was pretty sure these days you really only want the telephone system to create phone bills etc. But I thought it would be nice that if a client checks in on the PMS there was a system that would automatically populate the name of the guest and create a mailbox. I know on various other system this is an option.

Thanks

Marshall

Duvoice can do all that(except mailbox will be created already for that room). Providing it is compatiple with the PMS, You will have to check with Duvoice and the PMS provider Sales/tech support.
I have hotel that is working fine with their PMS system.
