You need the other side of the dongle. This is the part number
It starts with 47xxxx if it is a serial dongle.

Hi "tipeter" it is a nine pin serial dongle for use with a ip office 406 DS

It still has two labels. The serial number label has "SN" on it.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

amriddle01, Hi I put the license keys in and they registered as valid. However the sip trunk license key under license type gives ???. License status says unknown. instances however says 20. and expiry date says Never. Why is this? Is it possible that this license key may have been a trial?

What is the firmware level on the system? Pre SIP trunks?

What is the software version of you IPO?
SIP trunk where introduced in version 4.0
I bet you have a lower version running.

you would be right Tipeter my unit i tried it on was 3.2(54) with manager program 5.2(54) Doh !!!! Thanks for your help.

This dongle is probably added later on the 406.
