Can you guys give me your suggestions on what docs you use to train the customer on the IPO and VM Pro? We are new to the IPO and some of the user guides are quite large for the customer to look through. We always had cheat sheets for the Nortel systems and VM.

A basic course for techs is one week.
Customers should not have access to all settings.
Create a login for the customer and assign only the options which they should have access to.

I wasn't talking about training for techs. We have that. We are just looking for the best way to train the customer on the use of the phones and VM. Some of the user guides are quite lengthy and I just wanted to know what you guys use to train.

They have quick reference guides for the phones that are a double-sided document, 1-page. Goes over how to make, take calls, how to set-up call log, menu, etc on applicable phones. I think they are on the support.avaya.com website. If not, check on ipofficeinfo.com

I have a couple sample word documents that we use if you would like to see them.

Bob, thanks but we already have that. Coming from Nortel where we had things down to a science we just wanted to know what the Avaya vendors use. We had special cheat sheets that we used. Avaya's user guides can sometimes be too lengthy to use for initial training.

Just go for the basics like transfer, conference, hold.
Then go for things like DND, forward in the menu.
Don't go too complicated because the users will not remember it.
