Hi,

I have a scenario where I would like the IP Office Release 7 basic edition to ring a receptionist from 9am to 3pm and then receive a message saying that the office is closed without the ability to leave a message and then disconnect.

Anyone have a quick and dirty way of doing this without changing modes?

Haha I don't blame anyone for not wanting to answer. One word describes Basic Edition: C-R-A-P! I flipped it over to IP Office mode and fixed it up in a few minutes. I lost my sanity the other day and thought quick version would be ok for an IPO with a single Combo Card (ATM) in key system mode. I should have sold my customer a Nortel CICS.

I'll be fine...

I think because most of us do not even know the basic/quick mode at all.

i have looked at it once and i did not like it at all.
IPO mode is installed quicker because i know it.
It is more flexible so why not use it?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I have 1 basic edition system and it is horrible. If at all possible I would avoid it like the black plague! Nothing works the same even the sets.

It was created purely so Avaya could charge a licence fee to give us what we used to get out the box, it has no other reason to exist, that's probably why it's so crap and the reason most of us will not even entertain the idea of using it :)
