I am trying to configure a 2nd IP Network region in my 8500 switch and was wondering can I use the same range of UDP Ports for both network regions???

I think you should left the default port purposed by S8500 after entering ch ip-network-region x
Port worked with Ip.
I left the udp port as default and i have 6 Ip network region
It works

Regarding your question, Frenchideas is right by default all ip-region are setting at the min and max range. Now we could reduce them to optimize the bandwith. By example, I'll go to set my system for using 1 network region by stairs and use only 150 udp port by Ip-network-region Like I have just 100 IP Station by stairs.
