Hi all,
I have recently tried setting up a remote IP Hardphone which creates it`s own VPN tunnel through the internet terminating on the telephone system at the main office. The main office internet facing router is a Cisco 1761.
The IP Hardphone uses pptp as its VPN protocol on port 1723. I have added a statement to the Dialer interface on the router which permits any incoming traffic on port 1723 however the phone remains inoperational. If i run a show ip access-list then I can see packet matches against this statement.
I have a gut feeling that the reason the phone is not working is because the router is trying to NAT the traffic however I do not know what to add to the router in order to bypass the NATing
Any ideas would be appreciated
Many thanks in advance
