Just installed an IP Agent, the phone extension logs in just fine...the issue is logging in the Agent ID.
Everything looks fine and works except the login ID.
It logs in but then after 10 seconds it logs out...anyone know why?

When you log in as an agent, in telecommuter mode, the application launches a phone call to the number that you put in for conformation. When you pick up that call you should hear stutter tone and that will complete the login process and you will continue to stay logged in.

The phone rang, she picked it up...got 5 fast beeps, and then the agent logged itself out after approx 10 seconds

Ok, does the station that you are using for the IP Agent station have a release button programmed onto one of the feature buttons? If I remember correctly that may also cause the behavior that you are describing.

It does have a release button...#16...should I remove it?

What type of phone are you using for the station? Are you sure that the agent isn't logged into any other station? Off the top of my head I can't think of anything else that might cause this. You may want to do an agent trace or station trace to see what errors or events are happening.

Do you have an "AUX" button assigned to the station? Without one you will have problems.

It isn't logged anywhere else..that's what I thought at first also. The phone is a 6416D+, and it has an Aux button assigned, and a release button. The phone at the userd house is an analog 6221.

If a normal agent has auto answer but no headset the agent will log back out.
Try looking at auto answer on hunts and agents

I think you may have it silkseams!!...for the agent, auto-answer is set to station, and the Multiple Call Handling on the hunt group is set to "none"... So a headset will fix this issue? Or do I change the auto-answer on the agent to something else?
