I recently changed isp's and now when my router links up, get an ip address of the following:
64.146.226.xx
mask: 255.255.255.255
Gateway: 10.1.2.xx
dns: 64.146.171.130
First question: How is that subnet legal? I thought that is a broadcast mask?
Second question: I thought the gateway had to be on the same subnet as the ip address given out?
Thanks for any help here, it just kind of baffles me. My connection works fine, I just would like some clarification on this scheme. THanks
