I have 3 pots lines that ring into Hunt group Collective
Several questions:

First I noticed that the 9508 sets are only logging answered calls
Is there a way for the sets to log all calls regardless of being answered or not

Second I noticed that if i try to call back a number in the Call Log I get an error tone
Example: Local call comes in and Logs Area code 210 plus the 7 digit number. We only use 7 digit local dialing.

Do I need to tell the system to strip the 210 and or add the prefix of 9 for outbound dialing?

Thanks
Henry

You have to add the 9 for incoming calls as your line prefix.

Calls that ring a user and are then answered elsewhere (eg. voicemail or another extension) are not treated as missed calls so they don't get logged. To change that looked at the settings under System | Call Log.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks Touch Tone Tommy
That was a great spread sheet. And it seems pretty clear as to what I need to do.

Please look at my setup to verify that I'm on the right path please.

#1: Under each Line I will add the Prefix of 9 (I use the short code of 9N for dialing out)(I believe that the short code of 9N will remove the 9 prefix)

#2 To remove the 210 Local Area Code from the Call History Log when using the Call Back Feature: (7 Digit Local Dialing)

I will build the following ARS Codes:

Code : 210XXXXXXX
Telephone Number : N
Feature : Dial 3K1
Line Group : 0

Code : 1210XXXXXXX
Telephone Number : N
Feature : Dial 3K1
Line Group : 0

Does this look right? And do I need to add these codes to any User Rights Short Codes

Don't add the 9 to the line.

Use this for your User Short Codes
