I need to replace an old VM Pro server running release 5 .xx.
System is 406 R5.0.20. One of my first installs.

I know it's supported in Vista and I know that Windows 7 is similar to Vista but Windows 7 wasn't released until after The R5 was out.

Question is, has anyone ran the R5 VMPro software on a Windows 7 Operating system.

I know i did have issues using VMPro on a Windows 7 machine while it was not supported yet.
I had strange problems with modules not working properly.
But i took a look and VMPro is supported on Windows 7 from 5.0.15 and up.
Take a look at techbulletin 112 :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Anyone ever see this error?

Voicemail Pro 5.0.30 on a 406v2 5.026.

I currently have Windows XP (with noisy HDD) as server running with no problems. Replacing with a Windows 7 CPU do to age of XP CPU.
Voicemail works fine with Windows 7. The problem is the voicemail to email.

New CPU is running on Windows 7 Pro 32 bit
I use this same account on various systems, Embedded and Pro with no problems.

The only difference is this system is IPO R5 with windows 7

In release 5 VM Pro you can not set the send email address like it is in newer releases.

It's been awhile, but don't you set the email from address under the control panel of the PC?

Yes, but unlike later releases you cannot set the sending email address.

You can. Populate > Email Settings\Accounts Details < with a valid email address.
Type it in or select it if FQDN service works correctly
Be sure to recycle the vmpro service when complete.

There is information around here somewhere regarding exchange 2007 and above.
Requires a Mail From email address(notice I didnt say valid email address) or it will reject the mail.
Exchange versions below 2007 would auto populate a Mail From address if one was not provided.

Not saying that you have exchange 2007 just more information about the Mail From field.

Figured it out. Made me crazy. ended up that the "MapiUserLogin" in the registry was dropping a letter in the actual email address. I manually changed it in the registry. Don't understand why it uses the MAPI account info at all. maybe that's why they changed it in newer releases.
