IOS MD5 Checksum

I was wondering if there was a program that would let me check the MD5 of an IOS I download. I know the router checks it upon boot, but I would like to try it before I send it to the router. We had a nasty image and I dont want it to happen again. Thanks

hi.
i know in linux you can check for a md5 checksum for a file that you have downloaded..
open a terminial in linux and type in md5 filename.
