iolan terminal server

has anyone configured on of these. I have done it successfully on a 2 port and 4 port unit, but the 1 port is different and its giving me a lot of headaches. My cdr is up, but the serial interface is showing no data.

I have an Avaya S8700// we currently have an IOLAN+104 configured to run the SAT terminal on port 4 is set to connect to the CLAN port 5101... now we want to be able to add a couple modems to the IOLAN to have a dial-in connection... I want another way in besides the USB modem and the LAN access ( telnet ).. I have documentation on how to set up the port on the IOLAN I also have the pinout for the RJ45 to DB25 bable... where I am having trouble is the config of the modem.... when I plug the modem in the IOLAN locks up and the SAT stops responding???? Any ideas??
