Invalid Formula Text error after importing report

I am trying to import a Crystal Report into a product called Symposium. The report runs and prints fine in Crystal, but I get an "Invalid Formula Text" error when I run the report from the Symposium user interface. Any suggestions?

You may be using a function in a Crystal Reports formula that is version specific. For example, if you created the report in V8.x of Crystal, and Symposium uses the V7 engine. Try saving the report in V7 format (Save as...), and see if it will run then.
Can you identify which formula generates the error?

Thanks for the suggestion. I am working with 2 versions of Crystal. However, even after saving as the older version, I still get the error. I cannot tell which formula is causing the error, but the full error message is "There was an error while trying to print report !Invalid formula text." Does this mean the report is running behind the scenes and the problem occurs when it's printing to the screen?
