I am under the impression that my Intuity Audix system has the capability of sending voice mails (.wav format) to our Microsoft Outlook mail but have been unable to find any documentation that will walk me through the steps. (I do mean walk me through). I have really searched high and low on the Avaya site and of course the internet to assist me before I came to you. Probably should have come to you first!

I have spoken with my network manager and we would like to set me up first to see a) ease of administration, b) impact to mail server, c) ease of use by the end user, and d) how it will interact with our Black Berry's.

Instructions I am looking for are what needs to be done on the Audix system from a system admin and what needs to done as it relates to subsribers configurations. Also if there is anything that needs to be done on my Outlook mail box.

Really appreciate your assistance and thank you in advance.

you can set up an outlook CLIENT on a PC to do "pop3", and pull the data from the audix, into an indivduals mailbox, however, the audix will not send it on it's own. This is really the only option with an older Audix.

This is why AVAYA has come out with Modular Messaging, that can be integrated with an exchange server, and use the exchange servers message store to keep the messages in.
That however, is a totally different product.

In addition, the voice files are not wav files. They are in a proprietary Avaya format. The Client PC needs the Avaya Voice Player installed to listen to them. (At least with our setup: Intuity LX 1.1)
