I have a customer that would like to turn off an Avaya Intuity's message header for all messages, but not for all users. Basically, the user wants to dial into his voicemail box and not have to press 2 and 0 for every message, yet still be able to forward, respond, etc. Has anyone even heard of this being configurable in the Intuity?

While this issue sounds trivial, if you guessed the individual making this request is very high up in the organization, you have guessed correctly.

Thank you in advance.

I don't know a way to turn off the headers, but would advise going with Avaya Message Manager. It gives your voice mail on a PC GU Interface so you can see where the messages came from(if caller ID is activated in the Intuity and pBX). It is very easy to use and you can keep your messages forever on your own PC or on a server. Or you can export the messages to Outlook on your PC and not bother with Message Manager at all. But myself I love Message Manager. I wish I had it for home and cell voice mail.
