Hi. I know VERY LITTLE about Intuity Audix and have a request that I don't know how to resolve.

I have Intuity Audix R4.2 V1.1. A user would like their covering extension to "0" out to the operator. I tried entering 0 (operator) in the field , but it says that it is not valid. Our main extensions to the plant run over POTS lines so they are not programmed into the switch so I can't enter that number into covering ext field. Is there some other way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Assign an ext. to your console if it doesn't already have one. This is done on page 1 of the Change Attendant form on your Definity. Add the ext. number to the Covering Ext. field on your Intuity Subscriber form. That's it!

It is assigned 3700 which is not a valid ext range on our switch. I tried it anyway and it didn't work (number not valid). Do I need to change it to a valid ext for this to work? I don't want to change it and have something else get broken (you know how that goes!).

On your switch, select a valid ext number and add it to the listed directory numbers. You should then be able to use this as a 0 out number. If you would like to set the attendant as the default 0 out for all subscribers, go into the system parameters on the intuilty and set the transfer type to enhanced_no_cover_0 or no_cover_0 and enter the covering extension as what ever the number is you selected.

Still did not work on any of those ideas.

Would there be a restriction that I need to change that is not allowing this to happen?

I don't know what else to try.

Assuming you're talking about the system wide parameter located on page 4 of "change system-parameters features", bob's suggestion should work fine. If you are talking about making the change on an individual subscriber "change subscriber 1234", and your system is setup using enhanced-coverage, you'll need to "add subscriber 3700" to audix before it will let you use the number as a covering extension. You don't even need to initialize it, it just needs to be a valid subscriber.

On page three of the change systems-parameters screen for me. I have Transfer type: enhanced_cover_0 and covering extension: 3700. I added 3700 to Audix. I am still getting "invalid extension".

thanks for all your help.

Set it up like Bobg1 has said. Create a valid extension and have it cover there. Create a cover age path for that extension that is set to all calls yes. Have the first point of cover be "atten". This should work for you.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

I am sorry! The ext I was using to test with had a problem. I tried the 3700 covering ext on another voice mailbox and it worked fine.

Sorry for all the confussion and thanks for the info.
