Intuity Audix Covering Ext.

Hello everyone, When someone calls in and gets voice mail for this particular user they have the option to zero out for the secretary. It works fine except when the secretary is not at her desk then the phone just rings and rings. Audix is not pulling the call back. If the secretary is on the phone or has send calls activated then audix plays a busy announcement then gives the caller an option to transfer to another extension or leave a message in the original recipients mail box. I would think that this would work the same way for a ring no answer call but it doesn't. Any Ideas?

Not that I know of. Just teach your secretary some discipline I guess...(always to hit Send-Calls when leaving I mean ofcourse)

I would check the cover path and see what is there for DONT ANWSER it should have a number of rings eg(4) also dont anwser should be set to yes for inside calls and outside calls

Once the call covers out of intuity audix it is no longer following a coverage path.

There are call timers setup in the system parameters, that if set properly will allow calls to route through all the coverages and then if it hits a dead end times out and sends calls to the attendant. If set to short calls can actually end up at the attendant before completing the coverage path. I can't recall right off the top of my head where you set these, but if you need I will take a look.
 
I had that problem before and had to ajust the station call transfer timer , you can find this on page 5 of system-parameters features I set ours to 240 sec and no more trouble .This was only a problem on stations with multie point coverage .
