I'm having a particularly irritating problem that Avaya can't seem to get resolved for me. It takes anywhere from 2-3 minutes for a login prompt to pop up when accessing the Intuity over a network connection. I'm using ASA. When I ping the gateway from the Audix box, I'm getting a 75% packet loss. We've checked the network side extensively and can't find any issues. Do you guys have any ideas? A local Avaya tech indicated that there have been documented cases of this where there was a file corruption issue. When I mention this to Denver, they have no idea what I'm talking about. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When was the last time you rebooted that box? Probably not the answer, but I always start there.

Yup, we've re-booted this box several times. I tried changing the speed to 100 full even though Avaya recommends 10 half. No improvement

I had the same issue on our network. I finally resolved it by turning off the firewall on my PC long enough for me to log in. Once I get into the Message Administration I can turn the firewall back on. Norton's firewall seems to be the root of this problem quite often.

Thanks for the replies. We aren't running any windows firewalls on the desktop. Although I am curious to see if any of the security patches we've applied to the desktop may be causing the problem. It just started occurring suddenly where it was find before. We are always pusing the Microsoft update out to the desktops.
