Our company has 2 phones numbers, a 1-800 and a (949) number. I can't change the (949) greeting. I've gone into the CCR trees and updated them. I've even exited & played them back, just to verify they are the new greeting.

However, when I call our (949) number it's still giving me the old greeting. Is there a place where than intitial greeting could be hiding. I'm using Path: 0 for all the CCR trees we use.

You can have a header greeting like Good Morning and Good afternoon,,, Does it play the old greeting and then followed by the new one? If it does try looking and the greetings in the greetings tables ie Table 1 greeting 1.
If it is not playing the new one at all check your lines/tables that line maybe answered by table 2 and playing the greeting from that table.

Great explanaionds everyone but nobodyt noticed he said CCR

Did you disable your active tree before recording? Depending on the voice mail (you don't say which one you're using), you can record ccr paths till hell freezes over but if the ccr tree is enabled any changes you make won't be saved.

You must a) determine which lines your 949 numbers are using. b) go into voice mail and check which table these lines are associated with and then c) disable the tree for this table. Then you can update your ccr tree.

Be sure and reenable it when you're finished making your changes.

How many tree's you running?
The fact that you don't know what a table is should scare you.
Telemarv hit it right on the nose, if it doesn't fit, you must acquit, oops, i mean, you must disable before any changes can be made, then enable.
You may not be changing the right one.

It looks like 3 trees are running. I have some notes that tell me something about 2 of the trees.

1.) Yes. I am a complete rookie at this. It was a 45-minute training session before the guy stopped working at the company.

2.) How do you first disable a tree?

to disable the tree;

1- Call Qualified Nortel Vendor
2- Give him/her access to your switch
3- Write the check and enjoy

The secret of Joy in work is contained in one word- excellence- To know how to do something well is to enjoy it..

If you are a rookie as you say, this may be a bit to complex for you to handel.
The fact that 3 trees are being used makes it a bit confusing because you have to make sure you are changing the right tree.
And not knowing what a table is, you could screw things up.
Now calling a vendor can not only fix this for you, it is a way to get training.
You are paying for it, so take notes and ask questions.
Have them show you what trees are running and what tables they are using.
It will give you a better idea of how changes are made and maybe next time you could do it yourself.
CALLING A VENDOR IS AN INVESTMENT, NOT A WASTE OF MONEY.
