I was wondering how I can share a dialup internet connection that is established through a Windows 2000 professional computer on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server domain. I would like to share this connection to another 2000 Pro machine and to the server. I have static IP addresses setup although I could change these if needed.

You could use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) for your internet needs.

Go into your internet connection properties by right clicking the appropriate connection and choosing properties.

Then click the Sharing tab. There should be A check box there that says "enable internet connection sharing for this connection" check it

Below is A link to further guide you :)

A computer on my network is a domain controller. I want to establish a dialup connection through a 2000 Pro computer and share the connection through a 2000 Advanced server machine.

Why not share the connection through your DC ?
For Security reasons, I would use NAT (network Address Translation) for you internet connection needs.

ICS is really a watered down version of NAT (Network Address Translation).

You can install NAT through RRAS. RRAS is installed by default, all you have to do is configure it.

Start-Programs-AdminTools-RoutingAndRemoteAccess

Enable RRAS on the server, then you can install NAT through RRAS options.

You will need two Network Interface Cards (NICs) for this to work, one on the internal network, and one for the external internet connected side.
