I know that ussualy to share a internet conection u normaly use a modem that u plug into a nic card and then u have another nic card for your lan con...
This time i have a ADSL USB modem on my win2k server.
I expected it to be as easy as just call up the internet con and share it. On the client comp set up the internet conection to be made with LAN and that should be it.
but it doesnt seem to work.

Thanks for any help u guys might provide...

Normally should work. But for a better control ( I see that you are using Win2k server) use NAT.

As you're using ICS, you need to make sure that the client PCs are set to DHCP (the ICS Client wizard should have enabled this)

Then do a ipconfig in a dos box and make sure you've been given a IP address by your server.

If not, try doing a ipconfig /refresh which will ask for a new DHCP ip address.

Also make sure your proxy settings are cleared on the client, ICS isn't a proxy server (in terms of Internet Explorer)

See if your client has a static IP. Clients must use DHCP (Automatic IP). A+, MCP, CCNA

Keep fighting for your knowledge!

Thanks all for the help...

But now i have some more questions :))
Isnt there any workaround for this dhcp thing? Because i want the clients to have always the same ip address...

GiaBetiu:
I ont know much about NAT, is it dificult to config? Can u enlighten me a little bit?

Pantalimon:
About proxy settings u mean that i should just leave ie detect those settings automaticly right?

Thank u all...
