Internet related problems

When i log on too the internet i can use I.E fine but when i try to use any other program such as outlook or audiogalaxy the computer canot acess the conection but ie can still use the conection. does any one have any ideas please help!!!!!!!!

You make sure Outlook is set up properly; as in the email settings, POP, SMTP, etc. With AudioGalaxy, make sure your profile is properly set (as in your email address, or user name, and password). I don't use AudioGalaxy anymore but you may need to wait until the connection queue (i think it was) is at 257, after you press GO. Sometimes it just takes a little while for the connection to go through. If you're using dial-up, this will slow the connection and if you've got little RAM or low system resources, that would slow your connection; and ultimately result in no connection. ---------------------------------------
