I have a desktop with Vista installed and connected via DSL to the internet and working perfectly.
I installed Virtual PC 2007 and successfully installed Windows XP Pro in it.
I have tried so many sites via google to see how to connect to the internet from the Windows XP from within the virtual machine and never found any complete clear answer. Please help me, not just using abbreviations like CIS or NAT but also telling me what they are, where to find them, and how to check and fix. I already installed the loopback in the host, among other efforts.
By the way, the icon on the tray shows connection only if I specify IP, Gateway, etc manually. The moment I set IP to be detected automatically, this indication gets yellow.
In both cases, IE6.
Many thanks in advance.
