I have WinME and IE6 hangs my computer when i try to access my.yahoo.com. anybody got any solutions? If I cntrl-alt-del and end the task i get out, but if i try it again my computer totally hangs and i have to turn the power strip off

try clearing the History folder and the temporary internet files through internet options if you haven't already.

Thanks. Yes, I've tried that. I've also:
-uninstalled ie6 and re installed it
-repaired ie6
-uninstalled it ie6 and reverted to ie5.5
-repaired ie5.5
-reloaded WinMe
-scanned for virus
-uninstalled everything that was recently installed

The problem seems to be related to JAVA.
My computer also hangs when I:
- click on Xray vision (x10 camera software)
- click on system help
- click on system restore

I first noticed the problem after my x's kid downloaded a game. I've uninstalled and deleted that off my computer. I have netscape 6 and communicator, they work fine.
I'm not really concerned about ie6 and ie5.5 hanging. But other software relating to
video/graphics is also affected.

I've also been noticing a white sack-like object with a red string-like object tied to the top of the white sack-like object appearing next to the time-clock in the task bar at the bottom of my screen, the first time ie6 hangs.
