Internet explorer started showing huge fonts from last week

I tried

1) reinstalling windows ( not a fresh/from scratch installation )
2) repairing internet explorer

nothing seems to rectify the problem

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I wonder if you haev soemhow changed the fonts size in the IE set up pages, there should be a page on which you can change fonts, I am usiong IE 5 but I think 6 is the same if you are using that. go to you IE and find the settings page, then you can choose font and size. sorry I am on my MAC ATM so cant give exact directions but this should help. Please post back if it worksThanks

tools-->internet options-->fonts

will allow you to modify the FONT TYPE like Tahoma, TImes New Roman etc BUT

will NOT allow you to specify default font size ...

so Im still stuck with gigantic fonts ![sad]

Right click on the button bar, and click "customize".

Look in the left hand pane for the "Size" button (looks like a small and large capital A above a bar with arrows left and right)

Highlight, and click the "add" button, then the close button.

Clicking the "size" button should allow you to choose different font sizes, from "smallest" to "largest".

Hope this helps,

Wyrm

In internet explorer, select the "view" drop down menu, go to text size, and select medium. That is the normal default.
then lcose inet explorer, adn the setting will be saved.
I have had this issue myself in the past.

If you've got a wheel on your mouse, go to a page with Internet Explorer, hold control and scroll the wheel. This'll zoom in and out (obviously making the text larger or smaller - pictures aren't affected).
