I am getting Internet Explorer Script Error popups when I click on hyperlinks in the Help and Support Center, also when I open Resource Kit Help or Support Tools Help.
The popups don't appear when opening any html files.
I followed the Microsoft Knowedge Base article Troubleshooting Internet Explorer Script Errors to no avail.
The problem doesn't appear when I open the .chm files directly. But in that case they are being opened with Microsoft HTML Help Exe, so I guess it comes as no suprise.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you updated IE to the latest version and installed all the patches?

Usually if you have problems with IE and installing the patches doesn't help if you install the IE over itself if fixes itself.

Have a look here
Repair Internet Explorer 6 Under Windows XP
Haven't tried that myself...

For a good page on fixing Internet Explorer problems look here

Yes, I have all the current updates.
The problem only appears in Help And Support Center.
Also it didn't appear until I downloaded and installed the most recent Critical Updates. I can't be sure that is the cause since I rarely access Help And Support.
Thanks for responding.

That's right, in addition I deleted all temporary internet related files (cookies, history,& temporary internet).
I tried Kelly's .reg files and they temporarily fixed the problem.
So I uninstalled Windows Resource Kit and Windows Support Tools. I reapplied the .reg files and the problem was gone.
I then reinstalled Windows Support Tools, and still no problem. Then I reinstalled the Windows Resource Kit, and the problem reappeared. Pretty much narrows it down doesn't it?
The Windows Resource Kit is for Server 2003, so apparently I will just have to live with the script error messages.
The help files work properly, it's just a nuisance to have error messages popping up.
Thanks for your reply.:)
