Internet Explorer 6 SP 1 1

Does anyone know how to download the full copy of IE6 SP1 instead of just the Setup file? I want to burn it to CD and and install on several computers instaed downloading each time.

The setup program is the only file available for download from Microsoft's website. You can't download the entire service pack. Enkrypted

After you download it to the first computer, try looking into the C:\windows\Temp dir for the setup file. This sometimes works. I used it when I used to automatically update my Half-Life game and didnt want to DL it for every computer.

You can order SP1 from Microsoft on cd. The cd is free but there is a $5.00 handling charge.

This link will describe how to download IE completely and then install. I have used this method for both IE 5.5 and IE6 (as well as IE 6.0 SP1) and had no problems.

After the download is complete, run the install from that location.
