Internet Explorer 6.0 opening Web Sites TOO SLOWLY??? Whats up??

I have a customer on Win98. No problems at all and they had been using IE 4.0 and the internet was fairly quick on a dial up. They had to upgrade to IE 5.5 or higher and so they downloaded IE 6.0 for their online banking functions. Web pages come up extremely slow, like minutes later rather than seconds as before. No other changes and they still have plenty of ram (128mb) and free hard drive space (3.4gb free).... any ideas greatly needed... Keith Buchanan
