I am unable to get my workstations to hook up to the internet via the servers internet connection sharing feature. I have done all the prompts that the help in windows 2000 provides but it has not solved my problem. The workstations are running on windows 2000 professional. thanks for you help. Ray

3 steps I know work here for me, hope they help

1.Go to LAN/Dial up connection make sure the sharing box is checked.

2.Configure the other machines with 192.168.0.(2-254)
Subnet is 255.255.255.0

3. Set the default gateway and DNS servers to 192.168.0.1

Make sure there is NO firewall running on the Host PC that may be blocking connections.

Good luck

Tried your suggestion mlj30 but it still does not work, I am not sure if there is a firewall running or not. I have not installed the software as of yet. I do not know on the other hand if window 2000 server has a default firewall build into it. If you know of one let me know where to look for it. thanks Ray
