I have a PC running Win 2K pro and my wife has a G3 Mac. I have cable connection I'd like to share with her and I have a hub, and a second Linksys Fast Ethernet adapter. Is it possible to share with this setup. I have not been able to do it in the past. I have setup her TCP/IP settings but it has not worked. Am I on the wrong track or do i need other equipment to accomplish this.

Do you want to share files & printers or just the internet access?

The G3 has a built in 10-Base-T RJ-45 which should connect into your hub.

What is your connection from the hub to the internet? (is it a routing hub or do you have a separate router?)

If you let me know what the Win2k IP settings are, I should be able to translate that into settings for the Mac TCP/IP control panels.

No I only want to share Internet. I am only using a hub and RJ 45 cabling. I have heard from:
and have setup my box and the Mac. I have also heard that I need a third party software to act as a router.

The Linksys Fast Ethernet Adapter is the one I would use to share the connection. The other is my ethernet card attached to my cable modem. The Linksys Fast ethernet is setup for sharing.
