Hi Guys, I m having some problem with ICS services. My dial up is OK when the ICS services is not installed. But , after i try to install the ICS, the others workgroup PC cannot access the internet and the host PC (with ICS installed) also cannot surf the net. Can anyone here enlighten me what wrong with my setting here ???

My dad was having the same problem. Let me find out from him what he did to fix it and I'll get back to you.

There could be a couple things going on here. First off, how are your 2 computers connected? If it is with just a single network cable, ensure that it is a cross over cable. If it is through a hub, you should be fine, just make sure you are not plugging one into the Uplink port. ALso, you will need to the PC that does NOT do the dialing up to get assigned an IP address.

Now on the PC that does the dialing, you may not have the ICS set up correctly. There is an option for which connection connects you to the internet, ensure this one is set to the modem. The other option is for the connection that connects your other PC's. Ensure this one is set to your Network Adapter.

Hope this helps somewhat.
