Internet Connection settings not saving

Hi

I have a windows 2000 server running with windows 2000 pro workstations. I am using proxy plus on the server as internet and email proxy server. On the internet connection settings tab on each workstation I set the LAN settings to use a proxy server with the IP address of the server and port of proxy plus. IT WORKS GREAT.
But when users log out the settings are not saving when they log in again either on that workstation of any other workstation on the domain. Any clues? I'm obviously new to networks but I have figured everything else out except this one thing..

You can modify the registry. However, the best way to do is using group policy so that you don't need to go to each workstation to setup. For more tips or information, go to

blin2000 suggestion is the best way, but if you have limited rights to create a group policy you can have a workaround by copying a completely configured profile to the default user profile.

Ex. let's say you login to the PC as russgreen and configured everything, now double click "Documents and Settings" and copy "russgreen" folder to "Default User" folder. Whoever new user to login this PC will follow russgreen profile.

I like the Idea of using a domain or OU group policy but why are you entering your proxy settings like this. You should be able to just set up your DHCP server to issue the correct information then set the client workstations to receive all this information by default. Why make things tough here when it looks easier. In any case don't start messing around with the registry unless you have made a back up an have experience to know what and where to change things.
