Hi to VFP7 Experts:
My brother asked me a question I could not answer. . .
and I don't know the right forum to ask it in.
He is using Windows XP. . .Excel with a cell value of:
fotografie . . .which
is polish for "photograph". . .(I think)
He wants to bring values from Excel spdsheet, whioh has the proper international notations into a .dbf table, which I can do
but I then loose the e "rich text".
Changes it to e? rather than e

What direction shd I head on this. . .
Do I have to buy third party fonts say from somebody like Adobe and then the question arises whether it can be used in a finished .exe . Does vfp9 have international language capability? Any feedback is deeply appreciated.

Bill,

You need to set the code page for the table. You can use CPDBF() to find the current code page. Use COPY TO ... AS ... to copy the DBF and change the code page.

Another option is to use CPCONVERT().
