internal CA allows access via http or https

windows 2000 (sp4)
iis 5.0

setup interanl CA, issues certificate for internal virtual directory (website).

users can access this site using either http or https.
setting up the SSL did not prevent use of http.

there must be a setting that I missed to liits access to only requires secured connections via https.

appreciate any help.

In IISAdmin, right click the folder you want protected, Properties>Directory Security. Click EDIT under SECURE COMMUNICATIONS and check the box to require it.
