hi,
can any one help me by describing the internal structure of intel 80X87 math coprocessor in detail. Or provide me some site for this purpose.
thanx
Try also searching for Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU). Intel may not want to give up all their secrets so readily. This is a Processor Design Topic. You may need to look for some general designs for the most simple ALU possible. You have to know the Logic symbols to understand the designs. Try searching for "ALU LOGIC DESIGN" Or computer logic design, or basic logic design. These designs incorporate the symbols for OR, NOT, AND, NOR, NAND, and things like tristate switch devices. They also have logic for determining a simple instruction campared to an ALU instruction. I have a crude simple design at home but it is on paper. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.
