The last couple of days been getting a Yellow Alm on our TMDI card which locks out our DID/DOD trunks. This all started after last week taking a RED alarm on same ckt when the ATT T3 went down which our ckt rides across. I've been able to restore service by restarting the system, which I know is too drastic. I've checked the posts and found some info on using LD 60 to check the status. But would like to know the correct procedure to reset the trunks and or verifing the actual cause of the problem next time. Thanks

LD 60
LCNT
if there are counts
RCNT

Make sure ld 60 is in the MID nite routin.

Also if a loop drops, try to disable it
ld 60
disl (loop #)
Then enable the loop
enll (loop#)

If the loop has a d-channel associated with it, you will have to disable that first. To see if you have a d on that loop
ld 60
stat (loop#)
D's are on channel 24 and will say dch #

You may want to call out that circuit to your provider to do some testing. Tell them intrusive testing after hours, or else they will drop your circuit in the middle of the day.

IF YOU HAVE A YELLOW ALARM YOU MOST LIKELY WON'T SEE ANYTHING IN THE LCNT, YELLOW MEANS THAT YOUR TRANSMIT IS NOT MAKING IT TO THE FAR END.
FAR END SEES RED ALARM AND SENDS YELLOW TO YOU, REPORT IT TO TELCO

Thanks all for the info, I did initialy report it to our telco who said they were able to loop-up to our NTI. Thats when I 1st powered down/powered up the system and that seemed to clear the problem?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if I got a dollar for every time I heard that it is good because they can loop up to the smart jack I would be a millionare.
Request intrusive testing after hours, and to stress it. If they go to customer service step two in their flowchart and warn you of possible charges if the issue is found to be on your end, don't be alarmed. 95% of my circuit issues are with the provider and not my equipment.
