I have a user that is using W98 to access a W2K share.
The users drives are mapped using KIxscript.
This works fine initially, however, after a period of inactivity the user can often not access her home drive.
The access rights on the share are fine.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks.

Win 98 is well known for dropping mapped drives for no apparent reason. Usually occurs if 8 or more drives are mapped. There is a software fix issued my M$ but this has never worked for me. There are various other solutions documented on the web and if you search google you'll find them easily. I would either upgrade to win 2000, XP or downgrade to Win 95.

Doh!!!

Sorry the user is using Windows 95.

She logged the call stating she was using this OS however, after investigating I have since discovered the user is using W95!!
