Intermitent Cut and Paste in DBGrid

I opened a new application, added a DB, Table, Source, and Grid.
Assigned each so it was connecting to the Database I wanted ( Access97 )
Ran the app as it was. The only "Code" I wrote was to Connect to the DB
and make the Table active. Cut and paste of partial or whole strings
from cell to cell in the grid worked great. I added a Main Menu Component.
Selected the templates File, Edit, Window, and Help. I did no coding at all.
Re-Ran the application. Cut and Paste no longer worked. Since one has
nothing to do with the other I am hoping someone can tell me why this
is happening???
