I have not done this before. However, if it is accessed like a SIP trunk, then it may work at least for outbound use. I do not think it will be integrated with the NEC number plan. So incoming or station to station may be problematic. Obviously you will need the appropriate licenses (SIP TK + port).
This is going to become pretty popular with the rollout of the Univerge Blue and in order to integrate, for now, this is the only way. Regardless whether it integrates with the number plan, if it can either be forwarded to an attendant on both sides so you can then dial the extension desired. NEC is working on a solution called "Federation." Till that is released, this is a good interim solution for connecting the premise to the cloud.
I managed to get the two systems to register. Nevertheless, I received a call back from Intermedia that it will not work at this time with their platform.
