Interesting Issue with Embedded Voicemail

I have a customer that doesnt have their IPO on a UPS. They have 4.2 with embedded voicemail. Whenever the power goes out, when the system reboots, ALL voicemails that were once deleted are all back again, and they have to go through 100's of voicemails and delete them all. Obviously this is frustrating them. They plan to put their system on UPS, but they still want to know why this happens.

Has anyone experienced this?
