Intercom Group questions 2

Is there a limit to number of intercom group members and also is there a way to mass notify an entire intercom group instead of 1 at a time. Thank you for any help you can provide....

not a group call on icm but you can set up group call on pdn's.. i don't know the dig limit but ihave over 200 groups in my switch

There is not an "approved" way to call multiple sets and talk over the speaker.

The unnaproved method is not worth it - but I had Norel engineer it a few years back with Group Call to Auto Answer DNs. Working for Children's Hospital of WI, I wrote "To help save children" in my letter to the Chairman of Nortel... it took two weeks from that and VPs were all over it - and I thank them all for outstanding work.

If you just want to call a bunch of DNs at once, no voice announce - then Group Call, as posted.

group call with auto answer works if your users can live with auto answer. i love it, we have one station here in the switchroom with auto answer, works as a mini page, did to that number, if someones on the frame or at any of the 3 workstations, or all the way in the back by the servers, you can hear the answer back... as close to a mini paging system nortel pbx ever sold. i have extended the speaker leads on a set to a small amp in a wearhouse. worked as an external ringer on the lines and as page on the voice dig. that is not supported by any vendor usually and not by nortel.. but for an inhouse work around, it works

How do you make one DN on a set auto-answer without affecting the other DNs on the same set???

You populate the KEY 00's with a non-DID (we used a 5 digit number) and add those to the GRC.

The users listed extension is KEY 01.

Auto Answer only works on KEY 00

If you do all this - an uplugged digital set that is a member of the GRC will result in the whole group squealing whenever it is called.
