I can't figure out how 2 or more people at my office can pick up the same line, like you can on home phones. When you try to at the office, it just makes this beeping noise and you're unable to pick it up if one other person is already on the line. How can you have a sort of inter office conference call? Is that even possible? I have an M7324 and the rest are M7208

No, the privacy is currently ON on those trunks.

denysey needs to turn privacy OFF in LINES > 001 > LINE DATA > AUTO PRIVACY > N (OFF) Y (ON)

You can still only have one other person pick up that line and the display will show you what ext. # is on with you.

Right. Privacy is on. Before you change it, make sure your customer understands the effect of turning it off.

"Hi, honey... Bob!!! Get off the line!!!

im a newb at this.. on the M7324 i know how you gotta entre Feature **ADMIN, but i can't find where it says privacy.

Does anyone have a link to a manual for those functions under Feature **ADMIN?

Instead of always having it off, you could do this on a per call basis. While on the call and someone wants to "barge in", press feature 83 and then have the other user press the line you're on and viola..

Since you haven't posted the system type (Norstar 3x8, 6x16, 8x24 or MICS) it would be difficult to insure you have the correct manual..

My system version is 30DA, so its a compact DR2 (whatever that means... /newb). Key Telephone System says NT5B01 which means its 6x16.

I tried feature 83 but its says its an invalid code. I can't get to a LINE menu either (feature **LINE is invalid).
Does my system not support the privacy feature?

Thanks for the help

In some unofficial manuals, they have menus such as Feature**CONFIG, SCPLUS, ADMIN, BASIC, SET, LINE, USER, TIME.

The only ones that work for me are Admin & Config.

I'm going to need extremely detailed instructions to get anywhere with this >_>

f**config, pswd, show on A.Config, show on Trunk/Line Data.

If DR2.0 on a 616 supports it (It's been a loooong time since I've worked on a 616 with sw that old.), it'll be under that menu.

U R A Newbe, lol, I was too. Hope this helps.

Feature * * CONFIG > PASSWORD > A.CONFIG > TRUNK/LINE DATA > LINE 001 > LINE DATA > AUTO PRIVACY > N (OFF) Y (ON)
