does anyone know of a way similar to VB where I can put the cursor on a function name and go to that function's code in my project?

bdiamond

not exactly, but you can use the document viewer... that gives you list of all your functions/procedures and then you can click on THAT to manipulate where you go.. does that help?

oh , sorry... have you checked it out? if you keep it open in the corner somewhere you can just click the funtion name you want.... kinda the same thing?

bdiamond,
No, but in VFP 7.0+ you can use the Document View window to quickly find things in the same file as you are currently editing. And in 8.0+ you can the Code Reference to find all the references to anything in the current project or directory.

Yes. Highlight the function name, right-click, and choose View Definition. (This needs VFP 7.0 or above.)

I have vfp 7.0, but I don't see a 'View Definition' option when I right-click on the highlighted function

Go to your function, right-mouse in it and select "add to task list".
And from the toolbar Tools-task list, you can see and access all the funtions (or even line-of-code) by clicking on it
