Hi all,

I would like to buy a Dell notebook with built-in wireless capability. Someone told me notebook with Pentium M has that built-in function, but others told me the one with Celeron M will have the same capability. I searched from Internet and some articles stated that only Centrino CPU has built-in wireless. It's kind of confusing. I hope that someone will help me to the right direction. Thanks in advance!

Pentium M may have better Power Conservation qualities. You may want to research this a bit. Look at whether each are Centrino Based (built in wireless) and how much memory comes with each device. I am guessing both are using some kind of integrated video. The Video is another factor about the quality of the portable device. If this is for a laptop or a notebook, then you need to have all the hardware to the specs you need when you buy it. Upgrading can be a hassle and more expensive than if you just purchase the right gear at the time of purchase.

Centrino refers to the chipset/motherboard, not the processor. Wireless is a hardware function that is built into or integrated into a Centrino capable laptop or notebook. Centrino = Wireless Capability. Centrino is not directly related to the CPU.
