Intel Dialogic DM/V 480A 2T-1, CSU120 & Avaya G3

Hi all:

We currently are having trouble getting the switch and the dialogic mentioned above to talk to one another.

On the switch side:
TN7464 Lineside T1 with a CSU 120 A connected to the back
DS1 card configured for AMI/D4 - Near End Type = Integrated (since there is a CSU).

PC side:
Intel Dialogic DM/V480A 2T1

When we have a straight through CAT 5 plugged in (port 1 on the dialogic, network port on the CSU) w/o the dialogic started, status LED 3 on the DS1 is solid green (good).

However, as soon as we try to start the dialogic card, we receive red alarms on the DS1 board on LED's 2 and 4, indicating framing issues. We have tried crossover and straight through cables and have unfortunately had no luck.

The dialogic side of the house is configured for Behind the switch using CTI with T-1 robbed bit using AMI/D4 signaling (same as the DS1 configuration).

Can anyone give us some advice?

Sorry it is a TN464, not TN7464.

The comment "Integrated (since there is a CSU)." confuses me.
"Intergrated" means that u are using the csu that is built into the card of the ds1 and u have a 120 resistor pack to properly balance the line that is installed on the back of the pbx between the circuit pack and the dialogic card.
But I don't know if anything to do with your problem.

Yes, we have the 120 resistor pack on the back of the ds1 card. What is the recommended procedure for connecting the DS1 to the Dialogic? How can we prevent using the amphenol to D-15 to RJ45 combination?

Can the resistor 120 pack be used and if so, what are the proper setting on the Avaya and which type of cable should be used from the 120 resistor pack to the dialogic?

I do a similar thing with brooktrout E1 boards,
Just construct a cross cable from the TN464 to the RJ45
the pinout is(telco to RJ45) 23=1,22=5,48=2,47=5.
Remember to check if the switches on the board match 120ohm, and T1/E1 setings
I use "Service Type: tie" and "Carrier Medium: PRI/BRI
" but that might depend on the application like you said.

How does Pin 5 on the RJ45 go to 2 spots (Pin 22 and Pin 47 on the telco)...
